RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tax Planning and Strategy Development: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liability. This includes identifying opportunities for tax savings and advising management on tax implications of business decisions.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage and oversee tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Research: Conduct research on tax issues and developments to stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations. Provide guidance to management on tax implications of new or proposed tax laws.
  • Financial Analysis: Review and analyze financial data to identify tax planning opportunities and ensure accurate tax reporting. This includes preparing and reviewing tax provisions and financial statements.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies. Coordinate with external parties to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and responses to tax inquiries.
  • Tax Audits and Inquiries: Provide support during tax audits and inquiries. This includes gathering and preparing documentation, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and representing the company in discussions with tax authorities.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Implement changes to tax policies and procedures as necessary to comply with new requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present tax-related reports to management. Provide updates on tax planning initiatives, compliance status, and potential tax risks and opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and procedures. Implement changes to streamline tax compliance and reporting processes and enhance overall tax efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master's degree in Taxation preferred


Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting or related field

3+ years leading function or team, preferred


Certification:

CPA or Master's degree in Taxation, preferred
