Education: - Electrical, Mechanical, or technically related Certificate or Equivalent work experience/knowledge


Job Summary: The Equipment Technician?is responsible for keeping manufacturing systems and machinery functional and in safe effective operational condition by performing regular inspections, routine services, and unexpected repairs. The Equipment Technician will also assist as required in assembly and startup of new systems and machinery.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Equipment Upgrades and Maintenance

· Respond to unplanned equipment downtime events and troubleshoot to resolve issues in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic disciplines.

· Complete preventative maintenance procedures and verify equipment functionality.

· Actively engage in predictive maintenance through monitoring and inspection of equipment and components (oil/fluid analysis, vibration analysis, thermal imaging) to ascertain equipment health.

· Assist in developing maintenance procedures and methods.

· Assist in programming and operating specialized machinery, to help ensure equipment is properly operated.

· Assist in assembly, installation, wiring, configuration, startup, and commissioning of equipment.

· Keep tools and workspaces in well organized, functional condition.

· Secondary duties include facility and building maintenance and repairs.

Reporting and Communication

· Provide accurate and timely reporting on all work activities, including use of CMMS and MS Teams

· Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel in all departments.

Procurement and Inventory Management

· Research and source components or fixtures for service or repairs.

· Maintain and manage supplies, parts, and equipment inventories.

Compliance and Safety

· Adhere to all applicable safety standards and health regulations.

· Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Qualification and Skills/Minimum Job Requirements:

· Minimum B1 Intermediate level reading, writing and verbal communication in English (CEFR)

· Multi-disciplinary technical skills, such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation, with an aptitude and appetite to learn more.

· Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including P&ID, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic drawings.

· Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

· Advanced problem-solving skills

· Acute attention to detail

· Strong work ethic

· Additional Consideration Given for

· Experience in High Temperature Vacuum Furnaces, Drying Ovens, or Vacuum Systems

· Electricians License

· Automation Skills (PLC, HMI, SCADA, Loop Controllers, etc.)


Physical Requirements:

· Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and frequently bend and stoop.

· Capability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

· Tolerance for working in noisy and dirty environments.

· Ability to work in elevated areas or confined spaces.

· Ability to use and wear personal protective equipment as required.
