We are seeking experienced Engineering Managers to play a key role in scaling our system into a robust and scalable enterprise platform. As we transition from a monolithic PHP architecture to a .Net/C# environment, we're looking for technically agnostic leaders who can guide and mentor our dynamic engineering team.

Role Overview:

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers in the development of a scalable enterprise platform. This role requires a hands-on approach, including active involvement in code reviews and providing technical guidance. If you have a proven track record of mastering multiple programming languages, particularly in transitioning systems to .Net/C#, and are excited about leading a remote team, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership:
  • Actively participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to an 8-person engineering team.
  • Lead by example in adopting and promoting best practices in coding and software development.
  1. Scalable Platform Development:
  • Drive the development of a scalable enterprise platform, leveraging .Net/C# technologies.
  1. Transition from PHP to .Net/C#:
  • Play a key role in the migration from a monolithic PHP architecture to a .Net/C# environment.
  1. Team Management:
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  1. Technology Agnosticism:
  • Demonstrate aptitude in mastering multiple programming languages and technologies, contributing to a technology-agnostic environment.
  1. Remote Collaboration:
  • Effectively lead and collaborate with a fully remote engineering team.
  1. Quarterly Team Meetings:
  • Attend quarterly team meetings on the East Coast to foster team cohesion and alignment.
  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the scalable development of the enterprise platform.

Requirements:

  1. Technical Expertise:
  • Strong technical background with the ability to master multiple programming languages.
  • Experience with transitioning systems from PHP to .Net/C# is highly desirable.
  1. Leadership Skills:
  • Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams.
  1. Hands-on Approach:
  • Comfortable with a hands-on approach, actively involved in code reviews and technical discussions.
