Histology Supervisor

We are excited to announce that we are seeking a Full-Time Histology Supervisor at our Brooklyn Gastroenterology and Endoscopy lab in Brooklyn, NY,

The Histology Supervisor assists in all aspects of the laboratory's daily operations, ensuring that the laboratory runs appropriately and efficiently.

• This role participates in the administrative and technical activities of the lab to ensure functions are uninterrupted and to ensure test results have integrity and validity.
• The Histology Supervisor performs duties related to preparing routine and special surgical specimens.
• In addition, the Histology Supervisor coordinates workflow and evaluates systems and procedures.
• This position also requires consulting with the Management and the Medical Director regarding compliance with regulatory standards and changes in policies and procedures.
• This role ensures accessibility to the laboratory staff and lab members for consultation and resolves operational problems promptly.
• This role is a hybrid of administrative and technical work.

The Histology Supervisor must have the following qualifications and experience:

• NY State Clinical Laboratory License.
• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology with at least one year of training and/or experience in an Anatomical Laboratory setting is strongly preferred.
• 1 + years of supervisory/leadership experience
