Opportunity Overview
Assist the Vice President with accounting operation execution of assigned real estate investment-level financial information and consolidate financial statements in a timely and accurate manner.  The candidate will be expected to exhibit creative and flexible skills, working in a growing environment. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Consolidate financial statements from multiple sources.
  • Working with property management teams to resolve any issues with property level financials 
  • Perform monthly and extensive year-end closing procedures for commercial and multi-family real estate
  • Prepare and review financial statement reports for final review by VP, Accounting.
  • Perform reconciliations of property management company uploaded data to company records.
  • Review loan and operating agreements.
  • Record distribution waterfalls from property accounts to company accounts and debt instruments.
  • Prepare partner distribution and capital requests.
  • Reconcile cash balances for multiple accounts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of prior Real Estate portfolio-level accrual basis accounting
  • Multifamily property accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel application
  • Experience with Entrata, MRI, and/or Yardi accounting software preferred
  • Prior experience analyzing processes and improving efficiencies
  • Candidate needs to be coachable, enthusiastic, creative, flexible, display strong technical aptitude, detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
