Your Role as an Occupational Therapist:

As an Occupational Therapist at T & K Pediatric Services, you will play a vital role in helping children develop the skills they need to perform daily activities and reach their developmental milestones. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of therapists, including speech-language pathologists, early intervention, physical therapists, and behavioral health, to provide comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for our patients.

Your responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist will include:

  • Evaluating the physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities of children to determine their needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Creating and implementing therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, sensory integration, and cognitive abilities.
  • Monitoring and recording progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and documenting patient's achievements.
  • Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
  • Providing education and support to parents and caregivers about strategies to promote skill development and carryover of therapy techniques at home.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • A state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in North Dakota.
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in a pediatric setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, parents, and caregivers.
