CNC Programmer

Pay Types: Hourly + Bonus pay

Counter-Form LLC, a leading regional manufacturer of laminate countertops, is seeking candidates for our CNC Programmer / Purchasing Assistant position.

As the CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for the programming of the CNC machines and defining how to optimize the machining of different components.

As the Purchasing Assistant, you will be purchasing production materials/supplies according to Counter-Form’s policies and procedures, ensuring the highest quality, lowest cost, and delivery in a timely manner.

Work Schedule: Schedule will vary based on workload; Full-time with overtime.

Pay raise opportunities at 2 months, 6 months and 12 months of employment

Primary Responsibilities

• Read customer orders and blue prints to create drawings/cut lists/pick tickets for fabrication
• Have ability to create libraries of stock materials and implement into Cut-Rite procedures
• Enter and edit new as well as existing files in AUTO CAD/Cut-Rite/CNC programs
• Work directly with the Scheduling department for Custom Fab entries and labeling tags as well as set up suitable amount of work for each calendar day
• Learn and back up the Scheduling department
• Enter multiple runs daily for Shaper production in Cut-Rite in order to link panel saw with Shaper production
• Assist Estimating/Customer Service Representatives/Office with AUTO CAD drawings needed to be completed for production clarity and accuracy
• Assist the Purchasing department in day to day operations
• Work with other departments as needed.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• Bachelor’s Degree; 2 years of purchasing/inventory experience preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing business and common wood machining practices
• Advanced knowledge of CAD and AUTOCAD software.
• Continuing education to learn new techniques as they emerge.
• Working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics, geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric.

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs
