Job DescriptionJob Description

We’re looking for a motivated professional to join our team as the Physical Therapy Assistant.

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides home therapeutic treatment as well as education to patients, family members and significant others. This position also coordinates with other home health staff to provide an efficient integration of care.

CORE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Performs direct physical therapy treatments based upon assessments and treatment plan of supervising Physical Therapist.

2. Manages each visit efficiently in relation to the goals of the care plan.

3. Demonstrates effective problem solving, good judgment, and confidential handling of sensitive information.

4. Demonstrates accurate and timely documentation in accordance with established regulations.

5. Adheres to applicable State and Federal regulations governing home health, and Agency policies and procedures.

6. Monitor patient’s condition and reactions, report changes to supervising Physical Therapist.

This position will primarily cover South County (5-cities, Santa Maria).

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of California.
  • Graduation from a physical therapy assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • A minimum of one year’s experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is required. Experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in home health is preferred.
  • Current CPR card required.
