D&J Contracting is a full-service paving, sealing coating and concrete contractor. We have been in business for 36 years and are seeking to hire a person to work on our crew.

This role will require an energetic, hard working, highly self-motivated individual willing to learn.

· Unload and carry materials at construction sites.

· Use equipment to break old forms and structures.

· Smooth and level new concrete or other materials.

· Clean out site from debris and discarded material.

· Place traffic cones and signage where appropriate.

Requirements

· Must have experience as construction worker and or experience as an asphalt/concrete laborer or similar role.

· Must have experience in operating equipment like Skid Steers and Loaders.

· Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc)

· Able to work as part of a team.

· Must have reliable transportation and a good driving record.

· Must be able to work 40 hours/week – or more.

· Must be able to pass a drug test for illegal drugs.

· Ability to be able to kneel, bend and lift 50+ lbs.

· Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions.

· Ability to perform strenuous tasks with hands.

· Excellent communication and observation skills.

· Safety conscious.

This is a combination hands on field supervisor as well as working in the office. Experience in the paving industry is required.
