The Financial Analyst will participate in a wide variety of accounting functions to include general ledger, cost accounting, budget/forecasting, reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates accounting functions with team members and ensures sound accounting practices are followed.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual margin/variance reporting by product, customer and warehouse.
  • Coordinates with operations to ensure accuracy of overall Physical Inventory and related audits.
  • Maintains and reconciles Fixed Assets schedules.
  • Analyze product design, raw materials and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost for both new product quotes and existing product engineering changes.
  • Variance analysis and review of cost allocation assumptions and rates.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close, including the preparation of monthly journal entries.
  • Assist in assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
  • Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial status.
  • Prepares financial analyses and reports as requested.
  • Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and other general ledger accounts as requested.
  • Assists with annual audit preparations and reporting.
  • Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Performs other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Proficiency in Infor Syteline a plus.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to achieve results; Problem-solving skills; Commitment to quality
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: verbal and written
