Summary:

SWD | FUDT is looking for a Python Developer / Data Analyst to join our growing team to spearhead analyses and provide meaningful insights into our operations and customers. The Python Developer / Data Analyst role will leverage data on our operations and customers to build dashboards, answer key business questions, and tell compelling stories. This person will conduct in-depth analyses of our data, report on key metrics, and provide recommendations that will have a direct impact in shaping future product development and company initiatives. The ideal candidate is an intelligent, sharp, detail-oriented, and highly quantitative individual who loves working with and analyzing data.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business leaders and associates to design best practice solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python and other languages as the business requires.
• Create requirements documentation in Confluence.
• Maintain development documentation in Confluence.
• Maintain Jira ticketing system in support of Agile development.
• Work with and manage SQL databases.
• Collaborate with business leaders and associates to design best practice solutions.
• Work with 3rd party software vendors to integrate applications into the business.
• Assist in business analysis projects and recommend solutions.
• Lead in creation of project plans for software development.
• Develop and publish reporting based on SQL data.
• Test and debug software applications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Strong understanding of SQL database concepts and queries
• Proficient in Agile development methodology
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Plus if: Experience with Jira for project management

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) desired.
