firstPRO360 is seeking a Payroll Analyst for a contract to hire opening in Alpharetta.  Awesome company and lots of growth potential  

What you will be doing:

  • Process weekly multi-state US payroll and Canadian payroll for salaried and hourly employees, full-time and part-time; ensure the accuracy of data entry.
  • Monitor, review, research and respond to inquiries from employees across all levels via email or phone.
  • Process and review all payroll related interfaces.
  • Create pay data batches, verify, and reconcile wages and hours from various applications; calculate timecards as needed.
  • Maintain close relationships with area managers, operations managers, and general managers; assist them with payroll inquiries.
  • Interpret payroll policies, procedures and garnishment orders to company employees of all levels.
  • Calculate and process off-cycle manual checks to ensure all Federal and State law requirements are met.
  • Process new hires, leaves of absence, and termination pay according to state law.
  • Review audit reports, audit registers, and special ad hoc reports.
  • Process all garnishment orders received according to State law and timeline.
  • Work closely with human resources ensuring personnel data is received timely and accurately and properly entered within ADP to ensure the employee can punch and report time.
  • Partner with other departments (i.e., HR, Legal, Operations, Benefits) to maintain strong inter-departmental relationships and ensure a high level of employee experience and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required. A minimum of 0-1 years payroll experience will be considered in lieu of Degree.
  • 1-3 yrs of Payroll experience is required.
  • Strong analytical skills using MS Office products including Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with System Implementation or technology changes a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Federal and State payroll and garnishment laws per the Fair Labor Standards
  • Detail oriented, be a self-starter with a positive and “can-do” attitude.
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all levels within the company.
