Family Practice Center in Atlanta, GA is looking for an insurance verification specialist to join our 80 person strong team. We are located on 993 Johnson Ferry Rd Ne F210. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, detail oriented, and engaged.

Position Summary:

Family Practice Center, P.C. is a high-volume family practice medical group looking for a Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team. The Billing Specialist is responsible for performing various functions related to the accurate and timely charge capture and billing of patient medical procedures, office visits and services, as well as follow up. The ideal candidate is a team player and detail oriented with strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills. Our number one priority is providing quality patient care and as a team member you will support your team, colleagues, providers, and patients by offering the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities:

v Reviewing and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing

v Researching claim denials accurately and timely and appealing denied claims when applicable

v Follow up on unpaid claims

v Answering patient inquiries regarding outstanding balances

v Working collection accounts

v Payment posting

v Charge capture/charge review

v Insurance benefit verification

v Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

v 1 year of medical billing experience

v Accounts receivable experience

v Revenue cycle experience

v Prior experience with Epic is a plus

v Clear and effective communication skills

v Proficient with Microsoft Office software

v Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

v A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

v Maintaining a positive, caring attitude towards patients
