ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embraces the philosophy of our company to render care in a manner, approach and with the skill that promotes maintenance or enhancement of each patient's clinical status and quality of life.
  • Conduct Annual Wellness Visits on all long-term Nursing Facility residents and may perform Annual History and Physicals as requested by Facilities.
  • Conduct clinical interventional and episodic direct care visits, and appropriate re-evaluation of care visits.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and treatment of chronic, co-morbid illnesses, as medically appropriate
  • Evaluate/treat residents for changes in condition.
  • Review medications, orders, and diagnostic tests, and respond to clinical abnormalities appropriately for all patients under their care, as allowed and/or requested by collaborating physicians.
  • Coordinate care with collaborating physicians as indicated for overall medical management.
  • Assist with facility-wide illnesses, where appropriate collaborations exist.
  • Coordinate care with other disciplines, such as Therapists, Specialists, and Social Workers.
  • Maintain communication with families/attend family conferences when possible.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid nurse practitioner or physician assistant license in state of operations & current board certification in your field
  • Must possess a minimum of a Masters Degree in Nursing from accredited Colleges or Universities.
  • Experience in nursing is required, and some experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Provider is preferred, but not necessary, although demonstrated critical thinking skills are required.
  • Must possess knowledge of Nursing and clinical Nurse Practitioner critical thinking skills application to the aged, chronically ill, and convalescent resident.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills preferred.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess traits of punctuality, organizational skills, and ability to function within a team.
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Texas (TX)

Hours of operation are 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, On-call nights and/or weekends 3-4 times per month.

Advance Practitioners are required to work a minimum of 4 hours per day and see a minimum of 10 patients during this 4 hour period. 4 hours per day and 10 patients = $90K per year minimum comp.

This position has a unique schedule and pay structure. This is a fee-for-service healthcare company that compensates providers using the work Relative Value Unit (wRVU) system. Providers are paid semi-monthly with Paycheck #1 compensates for the minimum required number of hours and number of patients per day; While Paycheck #2 compensates for the number of wRVUs in excess of Paycheck #1.

2-3 additional patients per day = $2-3K additional pay per quarter. Advanced Practitioners average between $110-120K per year on this pay system.
