A premiere client in Erie, PA is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team This Technician will perform a variety of duties to set up and maintain all hydraulic equipment throughout departmental area. This is a 2nd shift role working Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11p. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Details:

  • Machine repairs or alterations to assure proper functioning.
  • Maintain mold storage records and make all necessary press set-ups.
  • Construction and set up all necessary testing fixtures and maintain in proper condition.
  • Make necessary repairs and parts placements to hydraulic presses and their accessory components.
  • Maintain and repair blowers, mixing unit, hot water steam system, electric oven, deflashing equipment and a wide variety of similar equipment as used throughout department area.
  • Perform all necessary electrical wiring for the hooking up and controlling of units such as presses, ovens, etc.
  • Make repair parts as necessary for various equipments.
  • Fabricate jigs and fixtures for processing use.
  • Make required carts, tables, storage racks, preform molds, ejection system, etc.
  • Perform a wide variety of similar or associated duties as required or directed.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Basic reading.
  • Basic shop math.
  • Ruler knowledge.
  • A thorough knowledge of mechanics.
  • The ability to set up and operate a variety of equipment.
  • A broad knowledge of hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical components.
  • A thorough understanding of plastic molding and curing requirements in order to assure satisfactory performance in a wide range of duties.
