Designs, installs, and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production/ product results and standards. Recommends revision of specifications. Formulates or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. May conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools. Interfaces with all other engineering, manufacturing, product development, and supply chain functions within the organization and with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.

Primary Responsibilities

Analyze current objectives, identify improvement opportunities, and apply scientific methods, statistics, and problem solving techniques to improve and sustain product quality and process effectiveness. Maintain and upgrade the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System Plan and execute projects and team activities to facilitate changes that have a significant impact on business results Assist operating units with Root Cause Analysis and development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans to improve overall quality results Present to management on improvement projects and results Ensure applicability of current quality policies, procedures, and objectives by keeping informed of the latest updates and modifications of quality systems Customer contact and support for issue resolution

Qualifications At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing Experience in manufacturing involving roll goods Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, science or technology required Six Sigma Black or Green Belt preferred

Experience working in and implementing ISO 9001: 2015 Quality systems. Have developed quality control and quality improvement strategies and methods. Previous experience writing quality system documents and training operators and supervisors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Has used statistical software like Minitab. Has completed Gauge R&R studies and conducted process capability studies CQE certificate (Certified Quality Engineer- ASQ) CMQ/OE (Certified Manager Quality/ Organizational Excellence- ASQ) Certified Auditor (internal or external). Blueprint reading, GD&T experience is required.
