The Content Creator role is responsible for identifying Protalus's unique voice and creating a roadmap for telling Protalus's story through compelling content that resonates with the target audience. This role must think outside the box to create engaging and informative content that adds value to the audience and establishes a strong relationship between Protalus and its customers. The Content Creator will look for new ideas, trends, and inspiration that can be turned into high-quality content that the audience will find interesting and valuable.

The Content Creator will produce the following:

Blog posts and articles: These can be written on topics related to the Protalus brand, the medical industry, or the audience's interests.

Social media posts: The Content Creator is responsible for crafting captions, hashtags, and other written and visual content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Videos: The Content Creator may produce short-form or long-form video scripts and storyboards, including brand videos, product demos, explainer videos, or testimonials.

E-books: The Content Creator may produce longer-form content that can be downloaded. These deliverables may provide in-depth knowledge or insights into a particular topic or issue.

Infographics: The Content Creator may develop a roadmap for visually appealing graphics that present data, statistics, or other information in an easily digestible format.

Emails: The Content Creator will develop email campaigns that inform, entertain, or promote Protalus's products to a variety of audiences.

Print marketing: The content creator will design and write copy for print marketing, including flyers, posters, point-of-sale displays, and brochures that speak directly to the interests of the intended audience.

Packaging: The Content Creator will write copy for product packaging and shipping-related materials, including packaging slips, ensuring that it accurately describes the product and its value to the intended customer.

Trade show materials: The Content Creator may produce materials for trade shows, including booth language, flyers, brochures, and product demos.

Employee education materials: The Content Creator will produce materials that educate Protalus employees on the latest industry information, including the medical and orthotics industries and current company direction defined by Protalus ownership.

Presentations: The Content Creator will assist in producing presentations for B2B and Clinical sales.

Website Content: The Content Creator is responsible for compelling and audience-specific content appearing in all parts of the Protalus retail and wholesale websites, including but not limited to editorial, informational, and sales-centered pages.

On-time production: The Content Creator will create a content calendar and ensure that it is adhered to and that its products are delivered promptly and consistently across all channels.

High-Quality Material: The Content Creator will maintain a high-quality level in both the material's thoroughness and the level to which it is edited and ready for customer viewing.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable track record of improving content for the web and a passion for editing and creating content
  • A degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will be seriously considered
  • 3+ years of experience as a content writer and/or strategist in an agency or nonprofit environment. You will be working on both digital content and print media.
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, including best practices for static and video post content.
  • Sound knowledge of keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM) analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Trello or similar project management tools.
  • Expert editing skills. You have expert knowledge of the latest AP style guidelines and best practices for writing online and a basic understanding of core SEO concepts.
  • Efficient &productive. You get a lot of things done, but you get the right things done first and are comfortable working at scale.
