Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team as a Full-Time Prep Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for both food preparation tasks and ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
- Assist with cooking tasks as needed, such as grilling, frying, and baking
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately to maintain consistency
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment
- Ensure all items are washed and stored properly according to health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, and kitchen
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of meals
- Adhere to all sanitation and food safety regulations
- Prior experience working in a kitchen environment preferred, with knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
