Position Summary

In this position you will be responsible for creating and executing unique designs, as well as those requested by clients. Must be able to design and create independently, and efficiently.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Advanced understanding of flower types, design, and current trends.

· Clear understanding of products offered by Westborn Market.

· Develops original designs, as well as executing client requests.

· Maintains all retail floral standards regarding quality, presentation, sanitation, customer service, and communication.

· Participates in demonstrations and store events as needed.

· Must have a high level of organization to keep up with multiple orders.

· Must be able to establish and work within a set timeline in order to fulfill orders as stated.

· Solid sense of current floral trends with the ability to translate into a retail floral environment.

· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· Previous experience in floral design required

· Ability to consult with clients and work with a range of budgets, styles, and timelines.

· Ability to design and execute a range of products including, but not limited to bouquets, corsages, wedding arrangements, and other special occasion requests.

· Demonstrate advanced attention to detail with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

· High School Diploma or GED required. Floral design certificate or trade school preferred.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
