Entry Level candidate will be required to work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers, creating sales documentation and mechanical models and drawings using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment. This position requires a self-starter who can assist in problem solving and use provided specifications to generate drawings and supporting data quickly and accurately. The successful candidate must also be comfortable working in a team-structured organization, able to manage multiple deliverables and adapt to constantly changing designs and customer expectations.

Specific Job Function:

• Working with Applications Engineer to understand customer specifications/requirements documents to develop engineering drawings.
• Constructing new models considering dimensional relationship of one part to another and a relationship of various parts to entire project.
• Calculate weights, electrical loads; develop connection points, IO lists and other sales level data on new designs.
• Assist with editing of training videos and assist Field Service with system manuals for all designs.
• Create and modify engineering drawings as required by Project Engineering Manager.
• Actively participate in project design review meetings.
• With direct supervision, assist with creation of equipment datasheets, plumbing schedules and others.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, these may include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in pulling part numbers, gathering quotes, produce P&ID’s, PFD’s, general arrangements, piping designs and BOM’s for the Project Engineering team.
  • Creating as-built drawings upon completion of project.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
• 1-2 years of experience with AutoCad or similar 2D drafting software
• 1-2 years of experience creating Bill of Materials (preferably using Arena and/or SAP)
• Minimum of Associate Degree with understanding in designer related field or relevant experience
• Proficient in MS Office
