In your new role at Injury Chiropractic

As a (Personal Injury Case Manager), you are the keystone that helps our doctors focus on treatment and care. You will be responsible for all aspects of the patient's post-treatment journey - including communication with patients, following up with insurance companies, and coordinating with the patient's attorney to ensure that care is provided in a timely manner and that payments come in on time. The work is dynamic and requires sleuthing and interpersonal and problem-solving skills as you navigate the intricacies of each.

What you'll be working on

Personal Injury Case Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Make sure chiropractic bills are paid in a timely manner by actively engaging with insurance companies, attorneys and patients.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, treatments, and correspondence related to personal injury claims

· Investigate and research cases with delayed payments

· Obtain and verify insurance information

· Manage personal injury cases

· Answer/triage phone calls and emails

· Monitor personal injury cases for current status through to final payment

· Data entry as needed

· Record and release healthcare provider liens as required

· Process and understand HIPAA compliant requests

The ideal candidate

· Details, details, details…..are vital and you LOVE summarizing and documenting what is truly important

· Loves being involved in figuring out how to solve challenging problem.

· Seeks clarification when situations are evolving or unclear

· Is a juggler of multiple tasks with a keen eye for prioritization and time management

· Has strong written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable interacting with colleagues, insurance adjusters, attorneys and patients

· Cares deeply about the professional experience being provided for others in all interactions

· Has an ongoing passion for efficiency - we are looking for someone who enjoys and is comfortable initiating ideas for changes that spark process evaluations

· Has excellent follow-through with minimal supervision

· Is technically proficient - must be strong in MS Windows, MS Office (especially Word, Outlook and Excel), and adapt to new software quickly

· Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant Case Management of personal injury experience (preferred)

· Ideal candidates will have Prior Chiropractic office experience (preferred)

· Excellent customer service skills

· Spanish/English Fluent, written and verbal (preferred)

· Prefers having a lot of guidance, direction and monitoring

· Prefers work to flow to you smoothly and in the same pattern each time

· Gets stressed when something doesn’t go as expected

· Tends to leave projects half-finished, or gets easily distracted by other ideas or tasks

· Is uncomfortable celebrating and sharing mistakes with their team

· Needs constant deadlines in order to feel inspired to work quickly or to completion

· Is just here for a paycheck and isn't interested in being an integral part of a team excited about the work that they do

· Only desire is work inside an integrated EMR system

· Cannot pivot to take on new challenges easily

· Unwilling to adapt processes for various situations and prefers to learn one way to follow a procedure and only apply that to every single situation

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
