We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail, and a deep respect for the traditions and needs of our Dallas community to join our team as a Funeral Director.
Responsibilities:
Provide high levels of customer service to families while discussing funeral arrangements, service details, obituary content, and memorial preferences.
Support and guidance to grieving families, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies, and manage all aspects of services, including logistics and setup.
Prepare and file necessary legal documents in a timely manner
Collaborate with other funeral home staff to ensure seamless operation and delivery of service while maintaining high standards and professionalism
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Utilize systems to review merchandise options, enter contracts, and complete necessary forms
Assist at the chapel and church services and participate in special functions
Works on-call/first call, as needed
Participation in community events, groups, and/or organizations
Willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement
Qualifications:
Completion of or enrollment in a mortuary program specializing in funeral service or mortuary science
Must have or completed all licensing requirements in Texas as mandated by each state board
Knowledge of computers and software and the ability to multitask and set priorities
High level of compassion and integrity, good communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
Previous experience as a Funeral Director is preferred but not required.
