JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Analyst will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing (both manual and automated) activities. The engineer will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzing business requirement to determine the test strategy covered by automation testing
  • Attending Agile meetings (Daily scrum meeting/Sprint planning/Backlog refinement) on assigned projects
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Record and document results and compare to expected results
  • Identify, record, and thoroughly document findings, defects/bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Development and Support
  • Test issues reported to Support by Clients prior to assigning issue to Development
  • Assist Development & Operations as needed with product and data related issues

QUALIFYING JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Working of knowledge of JIRA
  • Proven working experience in software quality assurance and/or development
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Solid knowledge of SQL
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Payer experience and knowledge required to include understanding of claims, Payer Contracts, and Payer contract populations
  • Healthcare knowledge required
  • Experience with automated testing is a plus but not required

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • 3+ years’ industry experience preferred
  • A relevant college degree, with 3+ years of professional experience
  • In lieu of a degree, equivalent professional experience may be considered

Preferred:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
  • Background in technical support, quality assurance, software testing or application engineering will be considered as an advantage, as well as experience with population or electronic medical record systems
