Job DescriptionJob Description

Lazzaro Companies, Inc. is currently hiring for the position of Accounts Receivable Associate.  Lazzaro Companies, Inc. is family owned and has been in the commercial construction business for over 60 years.  We specialize in glass and glazing, aluminum storefronts, hollow metal doors/frames, architectural wood doors, architectural hardware, access control and washroom accessories and partitions.

Responsibilities:

·         Prepare daily deposit

·         Process credit card payments (online and over the counter)

·         Research short payments and work with project managers to resolve

·         Supplier waivers

·         Complete closeouts as requested

·         Prepare waivers

·         Prepare age & customer credit info for weekly meeting with owners

·         Collection calls and emails

·         Balance monthly retainage report

·         Balance A/R age to G/L monthly

·         Reconcile credit card statement & prepare credit card report

·         Investigate credit background for new customers

·         Enter and maintain customer files in Sage

·         Maintain bad debt files

·         Backup for front office duties

Qualifications:

·         Associate degree in accounting preferred

·         Attention to detail required

·         Construction industry experience preferred

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

·         Knowledge of Sage 100 or similar accounting program

·         Strong communication skills and organization skills
