Beck Oil is looking for a Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team in Victorville, CA

Beck Oil is a leading provider of fuel transportation services, specializing in tanker trucks and trailers. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Victorville, CA. This is a mobile position where you will utilize company equipment to perform repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Schedule: Monday through Friday: 7am to 4pm (Occasional nights, weekends and holidays may be required depending on company needs. )

Job Description:
As a Diesel Mechanic at Beck Oil, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of tanker trucks and trailers. You will conduct inspections, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure that all vehicles are in top condition to meet federal and state requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong diagnostic skills, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records and adhere to DOT inspection procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment.
  • Coordinate with outside shops and vendors for equipment servicing.
  • Track inventory supplies and verify orders as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry developments through educational opportunities.
  • Provide after-hours road calls as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, focusing on semi-trucks.
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Willingness to travel, work flexible hours, and be on-call for emergencies.
