Job DescriptionJob DescriptionManufacturing company in Westchester is looking for a Junior Buyer to join the team

- Assist in the procurement process by sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment needed for production
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms of contracts
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
- Coordinate with production planning to ensure materials are available for scheduled production runs
- Utilize AS400 or similar software to track orders, manage inventory, and generate reports
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products
- Support logistics operations by coordinating shipments and ensuring timely delivery

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role (1-2 Years)
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory control, and MRP systems
- Familiarity with E-commerce platforms for purchasing materials online
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships
- Proficient in contract management and understanding of legal terms and conditions
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
