Position Summary

OPEX Corporation is looking for multiple full time CNC Machine Operators to work in our 180,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pennsauken, NJ.  We are looking for workers who are able to commit to a full time schedule during our second shift.  There are currently two types of openings in the shop for our machinists’ that include specialists in HAAS milling or Mazak Lathe machines. We are looking for dependable, organized, mechanically skilled individuals for this opening. If you are a punctual, communicative, diligent, and detail oriented individual that works well with a team then OPEX may be the right place for you to pursue your career.

 

Essential Responsibilities

·       Operate a variety of CNC machines in a cell structure within a department

·       Maintain a clean, safe work area

·       Properly load material into machine

·       Perform daily maintenance of machines as required and keep supervisor informed of necessary maintenance beyond operator ability

·       Must read and understand layouts, job packets and blueprints for parts being run.

·       Provide accurate inventory counts at all times and keep parts in appropriate storage areas

·       Inspect parts using micrometer, gages and related inspection instruments

·       Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required (i.e. deburring)

·       Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality and productivity goals

·       Follows direction from cell leader and assists as needed

·       Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Position Requirements: 

·       High school, or equivalent

 

Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

·       Ability to perform a sequence of operations under minimum supervision and consistently maintain the performance levels set for quality and quantity.

·       Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts which might cause injury to self, others, or environment.

·       Ability to work through daily operational activities

·       Good interpersonal, written and oral communications skills

·       Ability to plan effectively and execute the plans

·       Strong mechanical aptitude

·       Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

·       Must have strong PC skills and ability to work with Microsoft products

 

Physical/Work Environments

·       Worker will be working in a machine shop setting

·       Worker must be able to lift 50 pounds

·       Worker must be able to stand throughout duration of their shift
