Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and visionary Product Manager to lead our product development initiatives and drive the growth and success of our product and services portfolio. The Product Manager will be responsible for assisting sales with strategic presentations and proposals, defining product strategies and pricing, managing product lifecycles, defining and launching new products and services, and ensuring our solutions align with market needs and business goals.

Job Duties and Tasks:

  • Duty #1: Assist the sales team with the development/refinement of strategic presentations and proposals for new and existing clients
    • Task #1: Gain an understanding of key strategic opportunities with the assistance of the sales team and customize proposal templates to offer solutions that meet the needs of each customer
    • Task #2: Assist the sales team in correlating customer needs to Benchmark value propositions. Participate and/or lead customer demos or presentations to discuss the Benchmark suite of solutions. Tailor demos and discussions to the customer needs.
    • Task #3: Working with sales and marketing, ensure that product messaging and positioning are relatable to our customers’ needs. Assist marketing and sales in articulating value proposition of our suite of products and services.
  • Duty #2: Define product strategies and pricing while managing product lifecycles
    • Task #1: Define and monitor KPI’s to measure product success
    • Task #2: Conduct research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions. Keep leadership informed of key competitors pricing and product strategy.
    • Task #3: Develop short and long-term product strategies and ROI models for existing products and service enhance the selling effort, extend the product reach and improve profitability
  • Duty #3: Define and launch new products/services and enhancements to existing products/services
    • Task #1: Define product requirements, features, and priorities. Lead the evaluation process of new product opportunities that fit, or are adjacent to, the Benchmark strategy and our defined markets. Write product briefs that define direction, goals, and expected key results
    • Task #2: Explore new markets where our existing products have relevant applications for expansion. Create new market penetration strategies to extend the reach of our existing suite of products and services.
    • Task #3: Collaborate with cross functional teams to evaluate new products and market opportunities. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Duty #4: Become and expert on customer products and services that align with our solutions and create ROI models that define the value of choosing Benchmark
    • Task #1: Drive innovation by defining the current and future product lines that bank treasury departments offer to the market and correlate a value proposition from our solutions to each customer offering.
    • Task #2: Create compelling ROI analyses that portray hard and soft cost savings by outsourcing programs to Benchmark’s Managed Device Services suite of solutions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: (List the minimum required education, prior experience, certifications, licenses, and specialized areas of knowledge required to adequately perform the essential functions of the job).

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or business required.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in product management roles, with a track record of launching successful products and driving business growth.
  • Experience in technology, device connectivity, software and SaaS applications is preferred
  • A background in the financial industry, specifically Treasury Management, is preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic planning, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills are essential
  • Collaborative communicator of product and service value with sales and marketing teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills – team player/willingness to pitch in
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint product
  • Technical acumen for installation and configuration of Windows and browser-based products
  • Ability to develop documentation and presentations on use of applications

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements of the Job: (Indicate what the physical requirements are to complete the essential functions of the job, i.e. lifting, standing, etc. Also indicate any working conditions that may be out of the ordinary, i.e. travel, on call or unusual hours, exposure to noise, etc.).

  • Position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time; standing and walking occasionally.
  • Use of hands to take notes, type; reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to travel for customer meetings and to other business locations
