Direct hire opening for a CNC Machinist Operator. First and Second Shift Available.

1st Shift - 6 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift - 2:30 PM - 1 AM

This position is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of CNC and Manual Grinding Machines and for maintaining a clean, well-organized work area. Set up computer numerical control (CNC) machine to perform and produce precision metal components; perform grinding process as specified by work order, blueprints, drawing, templates or layout.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up CNC and Manual Grinding equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Operate CNC machines efficiently and ensure product quality.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Interpret technical drawings and program CNC machines using G-Code.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous CNC and/or manual machine set-up and operation experience.
  • Training in CNC machine operations is preferred.
  • Any experience in the following is a plus:
    • CNC models – Doosan, Mori-Seki, Okuma, Multus, Star Swiss, Tsugami, Kitamura, Chiron, Leadwells, Thread Roll, & Grinders.
    • G-Code, Mastercam or ESPRIT software.
    • calipers, micrometers, standard handheld gages, optical comparators, thread plugs & rings, or running Keyence, RAM, or CMM.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of machining tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and practices.
