Pipefitter Foreman

Position Overview:

Schrepple Construction is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of stainless steel and carbon steel piping and tubing systems. The Pipe Fitter Foreman will supervise and coordinate the activities of pipe fitters, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of pipe fitters and apprentices.
• Train and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
• Communicate with customers on-site and take notes to report back to the office.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Interpret and implement construction blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of stainless steel and carbon steel piping and tubing systems.
• Perform layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure workmanship meets required standards.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pipe fitter, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience with stainless steel and carbon steel piping and tubing.
  • Rigging experience.
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in cutting with Oxy/Acetylene torch
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in geometry and familiar with formulas for pipe layout.
  • Able to perform layout and draw isometrics.
  • Strong knowledge of welding and pipe joining techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Stainless Steel Piping Sch40 and Sch10
    • Sch80 PVC gluing and layout
    • RO Water Systems
    • Sch80 CPVC gluing and layout
    • DI water systems
• Education & Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical school preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in pipe fitting and welding are a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and travel within Arizona.
