Job title: Staff Accountant
Location: Matawan, NJ
Temp to Perm
Pay rate: $28/hr - $30/hour

Position Description:
The Staff Accountant will be highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within tight time constraints and deadlines.

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

Works closely with Assistant Controller in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.

Perform multiple bank reconciliations.

Perform and review monthly account reconciliations in various areas including balance sheet analysis, fixed assets and intercompany allocations.

Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls by working with other team members in order to standardize and document best practices and procedures.

Assist in monthly closing process.

Vendor creation and annual 1099 filings.

Assisting with the annual audit.

Special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned.

Let’s talk if you have the following:

Required skills and education:

Bachelors in Accounting required

CPA or CPA in progress preferred.

2+ years in a full cycle accounting role, including closing procedures.

Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.

Strong systems skills: ERP system, Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps at minimum required)
