Staff Accountant

Job Description:

PrideStaff Financial is working with an industry leader in search of a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. The ideal candidate has an educational background in Accounting or Finance and has a thorough understanding of GAAP and multi entity accounting. The Staff Accountant will receive training for Full Cycle Accounting and employee development. If you have experience as an Accountant and are looking for a fresh start to showcase your Accounting skills, come and apply with us. The Staff Accountant is a full-time position with an outstanding team in East Sacramento.

Staff Accountant Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process Business Activity Through The General Ledger to The Financial Statements on Cash & Accrual Basis

  • Prepare Bank Reconciliations For All Cash Accounts, Create Journal Entries & Maintain Accrual Schedules

  • Produce Timely & Accurate Monthly Financial Reports

  • Assist in Setting up Bank Accounts, Financial Reports, & Any Additional Accounting Systems or Software

  • Review & Approve All Accounts Payable, Payment Disbursements

  • Prepare, Review, & Assist With Annual Recovery Reconciliations & Estimated Billings

  • Reconcile General Ledger Accounts With Supporting Schedules Monthly

  • Prepare Monthly Standard Reporting Packages & Response to Managers’ & Clients’ Inquiries

  • Assist With Annual Budgets, Prepare Audit Packages, & Provide Lender Reports as Required

Staff Accountant Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Economics Strongly Preferred

  • Through Understanding of GAAP & Multi Entity Accounting is a Plus

  • Demonstrates Exceptional Work Ethic, Attention to Detail & Driven by Deadlines

  • Intermediate Understanding of MS Office, Excel, & Google Apps Such as GMail, Docs, & Sheets

  • Highly Analytical & Possesses Superb Attention to Detail, Organization & Multitasking Skills
