Summary:

  • Multiax Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing technical assistance and support to our clients and ensuring the optimal performance of their machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Serves as primary point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance related to CNC Machining systems. Troubleshoot computer, network, and software issues. Perform diagnostics, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance of computer systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Remote Assistance: Utilize remote access tools and software to diagnose and troubleshoot CNC machine problems.

  • On-site support: Coordinate and schedule on-site visits to client facilities for complex technical support and maintenance.

  • Conduct thorough inspections, repairs, and adjustments to CNC machines to address issues efficiently.

  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for clients on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CNC machining systems. Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, technical support activities, and solutions provided.

  • Reporting: Generate FAQs to address common user concerns and questions, troubleshooting guides, reports on support tickets, resolution times, and client feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest advancements in CNC technology, software updates, and industry best practices.

  • Collaboration: Communicate extensively with internal teams to enhance technical support processes and optimize customer satisfaction.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers.

  • System Setup and Configuration: Installing, configuring, and updating necessary applications for user deployment.

  • Account Management: Manage permissions and access controls; create user accounts within Active Directory.

  • Network Management: Map network drives for file access and storage, connecting/configuring printers, and other peripherals for network access.

  • Traveling on demand to onsite headquarters in Michigan and Itasca, IL.

Must Haves:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to convey technical concepts effectively.

  • Customer focused mindset with a passion for delivering high quality technical support and building lasting relationships.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support and customer visits.

  • Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving common technical issues efficiently.

  • Proficiency in CNC programming, operation, and troubleshooting

  • Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNS Machine controls (e.g., OSAI, Fanuc, Siemens, Hass).

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Engineering, Operations, or related field.

  • Proven experience in technical support for CNC machining systems in manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience in IT Helpdesk support in manufacturing or industrial environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual Dexterity

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Since that time, we have carried out installations, warehoused spare parts, and serviced and repaired the Multiax, Pade, and Fulltech product lines as well as other brands of CNC routers.

The Multiax facility includes 7,400 square feet of warehouse/showroom space where CNC machines are set up for performing customer sales discussions, training, and demos. We have a large spare parts area for organizing and shipping spare parts as needed by our customers.
