Job DescriptionJob Description

Cocineros are the "heart of the house" and perfectly prepare guests' meals, ensuring a great dining experience.

Line Cook RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare high-quality food to On The Border specifications
  • Adhere to OTB safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Communicate cook times, and potential issues with Managers and Team Members
  • Detailed knowledge of the menu, including all seasonal/promotional items
  • Complete assigned prep work, set-up, and breakdown of the kitchen
  • Ensure proper rotation of all products; stocks to requirements
  • Clean and sanitize throughout the shift-"clean as you go
  • Able to effectively communicate with other Team Members and Managers

Line Cook QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
  • Experience with quantity food preparation preferred; including knife handling
  • Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. during the shift; ability to place items on high shelves
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; ability to bend, stoop and twist
  • Ability to read and understand written and spoken English.
