Summary

The Plastic Fabricator position entails the cutting, fabricating, routing, welding, and assembly of plastic materials, including sheet, rod, tube, and pipe. The employee will read and interpret engineering drawings to create components or parts to meet customer supplied specifications. Our ideal candidate will have a basic working knowledge of Quality in a manufacturing setting, and be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. We are looking for an independent worker with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and prepare bill of materials (BOM) to meet the required specifications from customer drawing.
  • Cut, weld and bend materials to specification as required and inspect each part/component for accuracy.
  • Safely operate all shop equipment, including panel, table, chop, and cut-off saws, handheld and extrusion welders, and bending and butt welding machines.
  • Fit, assemble, and inspect parts to ensure their accuracy, utilizing general shop measuring equipment, such as tape measure, calipers, and veneers.
  • Keep accurate and easy to read job notes and records of work performed and materials used to complete the job.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and clean up saw area after each use.
  • Be alert and safety conscience and look out for the safety and wellbeing of all other colleagues

  • Accuracy and detail orientation.
  • High mathematical aptitude, with basic understanding of geometry.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work consistently and productively under minimal supervision.
