**2nd shift - 2pm-1030pm OR 4pm-1230am (train on 1st shift 6am-230pm)

SUMMARY: In this position, the Engineering Technician’s responsibilities include providing technical support to day-to-day production, identifying, and testing solutions to solve technical problems, assists engineering teams, test and inspect products, and data collection.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an engineering technician, you should demonstrate a sound understanding of engineering technology terminology and be able to work well in a team. Outstanding engineering technicians are self-starters with an insatiable curiosity, a superb work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Support production daily and ensure that best practices are being followed.
  • Identify solutions to technical problems.
  • Assist engineering teams during creation, modification, and testing of products, materials, and processes.
  • Inspect and test products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct tests and collect data.
  • Support process and material development and production.
  • Support equipment installation and implementation.
  • Support the execution of experiments.
  • Calculate or record results during experiments.
  • Utilize computer-aided design and drafting equipment during development phase.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma; a certificate from a community college or vocational-technical school; associate degree in engineering technology or similar, a plus
  • 1-3 years of relevant education or experience in engineering technology, design technology, or a related field
  • Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Writes routine reports and correspondence.
  • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides numbers (using currency and other forms of measurement).
  • Utilizes common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills, analysis, decision-making, creativity, etc
  • Must be mechanically inclined, understanding of robots and spray applications are plus..
  • Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
  • Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
