Mistral, Inc. is in need of a Systems Engineer. Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Mistral, Inc. is a member of the Mistral Group, a team of independent companies, each operating in different markets worldwide, while collectively sharing the mission of "Bridging" operational gaps in the Defense and Law Enforcement Markets with practical, innovative, and high readiness solutions.

This is a high profile, hands-on position which requires working with global teams. Position location: Bethesda, Maryland. Position: Full-time and in-office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the systems engineering of autonomous platforms.
  • Lead the integration of complex subsystems, ensuring seamless interoperability and compliance with overall system architecture and design specifications. This includes coordinating cross-functional teams, managing technical requirements, overseeing testing and validation processes, and providing expert guidance on system compatibility issues.
  • Oversee the development of customized software and hardware requirements.
  • Oversee subsystem integration
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Deal with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.
  • Assist in the coordination of various teams for the development, testing and evaluation of design and its implementation.
  • Install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Define customers’ needs and functionality in a service development cycle.
  • Implement warranty and support activities.
  • Evaluate and oversee autonomous integration to existing systems, and provide the technical direction to support staff.
  • Other Duties assigned by Management.

Essential Education, Skills and Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Decision-making ability
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of systems engineering software tools
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
