Chief Financial Officer/Controller
Responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and assisting with decision making based on the company’s financial stability. Duties include monitoring cash flow, meeting with Ownership to discuss and advise on best practices for company finances and establishing strategic plans to improve the company’s overall financial health.
Responsibilities:
· Assist management in providing financial direction to preserver the future of the company
o Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
o Monthly budget reviews actual/budget, report variances to upper management for corrective actions
· Developing and executing the company’s financial strategy to management
· Developing plans for growth to increase the company’s profit while reducing expenditures
· Provide job specific audits before, during and after to show strong/weak areas from start to finish
· Managing and supervising accounting procedures i.e. - Cost codes, Cost type, Job Type, Customer Type, Vendor Type, etc.
· Implementing budgeting initiatives company-wide
· Provide backward-looking analyses and forward-looking projections focused on future financial performance
· Assist with high-level decisions about policy and strategy
· Overseeing all company fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing
· Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitoring compliance with laws and regulations
· Review financial reports for suggestions on cost reduction
· Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
