For over sixty years, people of every faith and walk of life have come to Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat House to find quiet, peace and renewed energy for daily living. We have 50 bedrooms; we can accommodate about 57 guests. We are open 49 weeks of the year and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner when we are open.

We are searching for an experienced Manager/Chef to join our team to lead our kitchen operations. We seek to hire a person who enjoys providing quality food and beverage products ina peaceful work environment; is able to multitask when needed and has a drive to make the food service portion of Sacred Heart Retreat House a quality experience for all of our guests.

Chef/Kitchen Manager

Job Description:

Create and Utilize Order and Staffing Guides

Supervise and prepare three meals daily

Strong Coaching, Computer and Management Skills

Supervise /train staff to specified recipes and prepare three meals daily including menudevelopment with scheduled weekly menus to coincide with retreat house attendance numbers

Plan and execute socials and occasional fundraising dinners.

Supervise and execute a cleaning program of kitchen and serving areas. These areas include the following as well others when necessary:

​Dining Room, Hood Vents, Kitchen Walls and Floors, Walk in Coolers, Dry Storage Areas, Ice Machine, All Kitchen Equipment, Deep Fryer, Ovens, Dish Machine, Trash & Recycling Removal, etc…

Maintain Recipe Books to ensure consistent products.
