- Uphold and enforce safe practices and procedures at all times.
- Evaluate and develop the skills of maintenance staff.
- Preventative maintenance program development and compliance.
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling- align maintenance efforts with production demands.
- Provide technical support for unscheduled production interruptions.
- Process Improvements-Identify and implement improvements.
- Identify and order necessary repair parts.
- Ensure maintenance activities are within budget.
- Routine Preventive Maintenance-perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Install, verify, and validate new equipment.
- Perform necessary machine tear-down and rebuilds.
- High School diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic/technician
- 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Previous experience as a lead or supervisor
- Preferred experience within the food industry
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Expertise in electrical, mechanical, machine elements, pipe fitting, instrumentation, hydraulics/pneumatics, PLCs, and shop safety
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees
- Knowledge and experience with GMP and safety regulations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office Suite and internet)
- Must complete and pass a skills assessment
- Must pass a physical and functional job screen
