Summary:

This position of Corporate Sr Operations Specialist will manage and oversee the optimization of our warehouse strategy, warehouse operational performance, warehouse inventory management, warehouse cost, and lead various warehouse and risk management projects. Additional responsibilities to include mass production part buildout management, managing customer surveys, managing customer capacity confirmation inquires, supporting USMCA data management, and ordering and support for ordering inventory from Japan.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Collaborate with senior management to align warehouse strategies with overall corporate objectives and goals.

2. Manage ADVICS North America's inventory of products in multiple warehouses by keeping inventory levels between Min and Max parameters, placing orders for oversees suppliers, and shipping the finished products to the customer within allotted window time.

3. Implement best practices for inventory management, including accurate forecasting, stock level optimization, new launch and buildout activities, and minimizing carrying costs.

4. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track warehouse performance and implement corrective actions as necessary Key Performance Indicators such as: Inventory Level, Inventory Accuracy, On-Time Delivery, Inventory Cost, Physical Inventory accuracy, FIFO (First In First Out), and FEFO (First Expiration First Out)

5. Prepare annual warehouse budget

6. Analyze warehouse costs such as labor, storage, inventory, transportation, and overhead expenses.

7. Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize/reduce warehouse expenses while ensuring high-quality service and operational efficiency.

8. Prepare and present monthly cost report(s) to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and proposing solutions if applicable.

9. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with third-party service providers and suppliers to optimize service levels and reduce costs.

10. Manage warehouse contracts.

11. Monthly warehouse inventory to shipment reconciliation.

12. Drive warehouse continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational effectiveness.

13. Performs and/or support Physical Inventory at the warehouses as frequent as established or needed. Also performs or supports cycle counts as needed.

14. Lead and coordinate risk management projects from initiation through implementation and closure, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of project goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risk.

15. Leads and/or support FTA/USMCA activities to support our Logistics and International Trade function in creating and maintaining systems and processes to enhance compliance and support decision making.

16. Leads the Survey and activities for Annual Planning Volume (Vehicle). Gather information from the suppliers (manufacturing plants) and summarize responses to for the customer. Similarly, will lead the activities to respond to Volume change surveys from the customers.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

- The work is performed in an open office setting. The work is mostly sedentary.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Open office environment exists.

- This position requires extensive communication with others internally to the company and with external customers and suppliers, verbal and written, face to face and remote

- Required to work additional hours to meet deadlines, as necessary.

- Some travel will be required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Desired Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business-related field with minimum of 5 years' experience.

- Production Control experience and knowledge

- Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and logistics operations.

- Analytical skills to complete cost analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Contract negotiation and management

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

- Automotive Tier 1 experience

 

Special Skills:

- Leadership skills. Must be able to effectively lead a team made up of peers and managers of multiple departments within ADVICS and outside.

- Written and verbal communication skills are necessary at all levels within the organization and outside (Customers and Suppliers).

- Good problem-solving skills are required.

- Ability to use MS Office products, MS Project, Email, Internet, Voicemail, and other miscellaneous electronic devices and software products.
