Location: Lake in the Hills, IL 60156
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, and 3rd Shift
Description:
Coaters will be trained in and responsible for coating towers set-up and operation of certain areas in the coating process.
As a coater, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and company-paid life insurance. Coater Duties and Responsibilities
Set up rolls on the Coating tower (horizontal, PTFE, and/or calendar)
Record all records on run-sheet
Run the coating towers based on the parameters
Ensure that the product is being produced with quality
Make necessary adjustments to the coating tower
Maintain towers and are in clean condition
Shut down and clean up at the end of the shift
Set up rolls for next-day production
Mix PTFE coating, following procedures
Complete inventory transactions in the ERP system
Work under the supervision of Coating Supervisor and Coating Towers Lead
Perform other duties as assigned
Coater Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or GED; or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training.
Ability to obtain lift truck certification
Basic computer skills required
Knowledge about applying PTFE and solvent coatings onto materials like fiberglass and other surfaces
Must be able to solve real-life problems and handle different specific situations.
Able to understand and follow instructions given in writing, verbally, through diagrams, or schedules in English
Basic math with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, in various units; calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, and making bar graphs for mixing and monitoring towers
Sharp eyesight up close, ability to judge depth, and a wide field of vision
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and/or team-lift up to 100lbs
Ability to complete forms as required for the job
