Job Summary:

Welder’s helpers are to be proactive in the assistance of producing quality welds for a quality product for all customers.  Works well with others and take directions from Leads and Shop Supervisor in a manner to perform as a cohesive member of the production team.  Always working safely and looks out for the safety of others.

 

Reports to / Supervision Received:

·       Manager – Shop Supervisor

 

Essential Functions:

·       To perform welder’s helper tasks directed from Shop Supervisor.

·       Inspect grinders and drilling equipment daily.  Ensure equipment is in good working order.

·       Help in the process of producing quality welds per drawings and Quality Assurance Manager

·       To work safety and being proactive in safe practices.

 

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

·       Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required – high school diploma or GED

·       Minimum Experience required – Six months experience working in a welding environment or having been in an accredited welding program.

·       Ability to read a tape measure

·       Skills Required – Able to follow directions.

 

Responsibility for:

       ·       Equipment: Grinders, Hand and magnetic drills and varies hand tools, such as hammer, chippers, wire brushes and wire cutters. 

·       Supervisory:  Safety of yourself and others around you.

Pay rate $17 p/hour 

4/10 work schedule

4am - 2:30pm
