Primary Purpose:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide both direct and indirect Occupational Therapy services and evaluations for students in the region. Your role will be critical in supporting students with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring they receive the necessary occupational therapy to thrive academically and personally.
Minimum Education/Certification Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from a university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
- Certification: Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Direct and Indirect Services: Provide both direct and indirect (consultative) occupational therapy services to students with IEP OT services in the region.
- Evaluations: Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations to support students' occupational therapy needs.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success and address occupational therapy needs.
