As a BBQ Prep Cook & Food Preparer, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and consistently delivering exceptional food to our customers. Your role will encompass various tasks related to food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Prepare and cook barbecue pork, ribs, and chicken according to established recipes and standards.

Assist in the preparation of side dishes including coleslaw, baked beans, and cornbread.

Shred cabbage and other ingredients using kitchen equipment.

Demonstrate proficiency in knife skills and utilize knives safely and effectively.

Collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.

Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.

Uphold a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with colleagues and customers.

Flexibility in scheduling, including early morning shifts during peak seasons.

Requirements:

 

Serve Safe certification is mandatory for this position. If not already certified, the candidate must obtain certification within 60 days of hire.

ABC Service License for serving beer and wine is preferred, and the cost of obtaining the license will be covered by the employer.

Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate early morning shifts and varying customer demand.
