Description
As the Senior Learning and Development Specialist, you will lead the development and delivery of innovative learning solutions to address organizational learning needs and drive employee development. You'll leverage your expertise in instructional design, training delivery, and program evaluation to create impactful learning experiences that enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement, while supporting the achievement of business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning Program Design and Development:
- Lead the design and development of comprehensive learning programs, curriculum, and materials aligned with organizational goals and learning objectives.
- Utilize instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and innovative learning technologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning needs, define learning outcomes, and tailor content to diverse audiences.
- Training Delivery and Facilitation:
- Facilitate training sessions using a variety of delivery methods, including instructor-led training, virtual classrooms, e-learning modules, and blended learning approaches.
- Adapt training content and delivery strategies to meet the unique learning styles and preferences of participants.
- Learning Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
- Develop evaluation frameworks and assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and track learner progress.
- Analyze training metrics, feedback, and performance data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations for enhancing learning initiatives.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to refine content, delivery methods, and learning resources based on learner feedback and emerging best practices.
- Learning Technology Integration:
- Leverage learning technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance the delivery, accessibility, and scalability of training content.
- Select, implement, and optimize learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and other learning technologies.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in learning technology to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, HR partners, and subject matter experts, to understand business needs and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gain buy-in, support, and alignment for learning initiatives and ensure their successful implementation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on learning and development topics, providing guidance and support to colleagues and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery, with a focus on adult learning principles and best practices.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in learning technologies, authoring tools, and learning management systems (LMS), with experience in selecting, implementing, and optimizing learning technology solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, build consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Certifications in instructional design, training delivery, or learning technologies (e.g., CPLP, ATD, CPTM) are desirable.
