Job DescriptionJob Description

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering suggestions, and ensuring a positive shopping environment.

Sales: Encourage sales by promoting merchandise and explaining the features and benefits of products. Assist in achieving sales targets and increasing store profitability.

Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough knowledge of the store’s merchandise, including sizing, materials, and styling tips. This includes staying updated on the latest fashion trends and new arrivals.

Visual Merchandising: Help in maintaining the store’s visual standards by organizing displays, restocking merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and well-presented.

Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control tasks such as receiving shipments, stocking items, conducting physical counts, and organizing stock rooms.

Cash Handling: Operate registers, process payments, and handle returns or exchanges with accuracy and efficiency.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals, participate in meetings, and share product feedback with management.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some roles may require post-secondary education in fashion or related fields.

Experience: Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service is highly advantageous.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, friendliness, and the ability to relate well with diverse customer bases.

Fashion or Westernwear Sense: A good understanding of fashion/western wear  and ability to style items creatively.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and handle some physical activities like lifting and moving stock.

Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as retail hours can vary.

Career Path:

Starting as a sales associate can lead to more advanced positions such as senior sales associate, assistant store manager, or store manager. It offers a path to further opportunities in fashion merchandising, buying, or even fashion design.
