Responsibilities:
- Analyze energy usage and operations at customer sites to provide recommendations
- Develop applications to model hypothetical operating scenarios for energy and cash flow projections for a variety of technologies (turbine, solar, battery storage)
- Compile, condense and analyze combination of internal / external data on grid emissions to develop recommendations on carbon sensitive operations
- Research state and federal energy programs and incorporate incentives into energy modeling applications
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in optimization efforts throughout organization
- Communicate model objective and results to decision markets
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Operations Research
- 3+ years of experience in energy modeling and/or anlaysis
- Passion for what you do
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated team player
- Experience or demonstrated interest in at least two of the following:
- Data science
- Energy Modeling
- R, Python, MATLAB, etc.
- Electricity grid and generation technologies
- PLC programming
Preferred:
- Proficiency in R, Python, MATLAB, etc.
- Familiarity with Regional Wholesale Electricity Markets (PJM, ISO-NE, NYISO)
- Experience with Linear programming / constrained optimization
