Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Swiss Machinist to join our team. This position requires appropriate and accurate dimensional evaluations of parts produced and tooling used at Mencom Corporation to include the programming of parts and tools as needed

Duties:

• Set up, program, and operate Citizen Swiss producing tooling and prototypes on Swiss lathe, small lot sizes, multiple set ups per day. The right candidate will be experienced in programming- ability to write a hand program without assistance, download and edit programs and troubleshoot when needed.
• Setup, program and operate 3-axis mill
• Set up, program, and operate Miyano CNC Lathe producing tooling and prototypes on Miyano lathe, small lot sizes
• Blueprint Reading and GD&T ability
• EDM experience a plus
• Have knowledge of multiple types of controls.
• Take ownership of quality control and gauging ability- ability to hold a tolerance of +/- .001.
• Willing to operate and learn other types of machines when workload for the lathe/Swiss is low.
• Have own tools
• Mastercam experience a plus

Requirements skills

• 5 years shown experience programming in Miyano/Mitsubishi control required.
• 5 years experience in a toolroom/machine shop setting
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of CNC operations
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools effectively
• Familiarity with calipers and other precision measuring instruments
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

Education:

• High school or equivalent (required)
• Tech/Trade school(preferred)
