Job DescriptionJob Description

1. Description

· The QA Inspector is responsible for checking the quality of incoming and outgoing products by measuring parts, monitoring production processes and identifying malfunctions. Ensures that products manufactured meet our customer requirements and ISO standards.

Type of part : CNC Milling / CNC Turning / Sheet metal

 

2. Qualification:

· Minimum 2 years' experience in a machine shop is required

· Must be familiar performing First Article Inspections, document control, and nonconforming product (MRB)

· Experience with measuring tools: Calipers, pin gauge and micrometers, heigh gage, etc…

· Preferred prior experience in similar measurement role.

· Ability to read product drawings, blue prints.

· Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.

· Sufficient computer literacy to be able to enter data to Excel spreadsheets

 

3. Responsibilities

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, shop travelers, and ASME Y 14.5M standards dimensional tolerance symbols

· Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers

· Performs start-up inspection and documents results to allow production to commence.

· Performs periodic in-process dimensional and visual inspection on random parts selected from production and documents results to provide assurance that in-process quality levels are not drifting from those confirmed during start-up.

· Performs sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials and packaging line and manufacturing inspections

· Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions

· Inspects processed performed by suppliers to ensure conformance to requirements and specifications

· Identifies material and processes as conforming or nonconforming

· Follow established process/procedures for discarding or rejecting products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications

· Writes simple reports of findings for review

· Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems

· Prepare first article reports and enter required data into computer

· Document inspection findings and complete rejection reports

· Minimize down time by reducing production rework and recalls

· Maintains clean and tidy workspace.

· Other duties as assigned
